The receipts.

Independent research is only as credible as the people willing to attach their name to it. This page tracks who has, who’s reviewing now, and who’s on the outreach roadmap as papers ship.

Endorsements

Researchers who have backed the work.

Confirmed endorsements are publicly attached via arXiv or named acknowledgment. Pending endorsements are at the review gate; the gate date is listed transparently. Forthcoming entries are the outreach roadmap once the corresponding paper ships.

Confirmed2026 (Paper I arXiv endorsement)

Hellmuth Stachel

TU Vienna, Emeritus (Geometry)

Originator of the oloid problem and foundational figure in the developable roller literature. Provided arXiv endorsement for Substrate Geometry Paper I.

Paper: Computational Validation of the Oloid as a Local Optimum in the Developable Roller Family
Pending2026-05-17 endorsement gate

Max Wardetzky

University of Göttingen (Applied Mathematics)

Discrete differential geometry research group. Endorsement gate for the Substrate Geometry methodology paper currently in arXiv submission queue.

Paper: Substrate Geometry methodology paper
Pending2026-05-17 endorsement gate

Mathieu Desbrun

INRIA / Caltech (Computer Graphics & Geometric Computing)

Companion endorsement track for the methodology paper.

Paper: Substrate Geometry methodology paper
Pending2026-05-17 endorsement gate

Konrad Polthier

Freie Universität Berlin (Mathematical Geometry Processing)

Companion endorsement track for the methodology paper.

Forthcoming

Itamar H. Sanches

LabMol UFG (Pred-hERG 5.0 lead)

Phase 8 outreach planned upon Paper I ChemRxiv DOI assignment. White-box consensus-rule finding on noribogaine is methodologically actionable for the LabMol team.

Paper: Paper I — Architecture-Specific Failure of hERG QSAR Models on Iboga Alkaloids
Forthcoming

Kyle Swanson

Stanford (ADMET-AI lead)

Phase 8 outreach planned upon Paper I ChemRxiv DOI assignment. Scaffold-vs-bit-level signal-separation observation in Paper II Section 3.2 is informative for next-generation ADMET-AI development.

Paper: Paper I — Architecture-Specific Failure of hERG QSAR Models on Iboga Alkaloids
Forthcoming

Michael Beyeler

UC Santa Barbara (pulse2percept lead)

BionicSubstrate Paper 1 outreach target. Cable-equation oracle is positioned as biophysical ground truth for AxonMapModel rather than competitor — collaboration invitation framing.

Paper: BionicSubstrate Paper 1 (forthcoming)

On the discipline

Why this page exists.

Independent research without institutional affiliation has no automatic credentialing. The default-trust that comes with a faculty appointment has to be earned per-paper through endorsements, replications, citations, and press attention. This page is the visible accounting. Endorsements are listed by status — confirmed entries are publicly verifiable; pending entries name the gate; forthcoming entries are honest about being on the outreach roadmap rather than already in hand.

No padding, no inflation. If someone’s name appears under Confirmed, the endorsement exists in writing and can be verified through arXiv or the named acknowledgment in the paper.
