Reach out.

Vincent Couey. Toledo, OH. Independent researcher and builder. The work is sprawling on purpose; this page is the short answer to how do I get in touch.

Primary — email

The right channel for anything substantive: research collaboration, endorsement requests, coauthorship inquiries, longer-form questions, consulting, press. Replies usually inside two business days.

Structured intake — /involve
Volunteer, invest, collaborate, press, or other.

Five intake paths with the fields that matter per intent. Volunteer offers reach the right project; investor inquiries route by target company; research-collaboration requests route by program. Lower friction than a cold email when your reason for reaching out fits a structured shape.

Public surfaces

Where I publish, post, and keep the receipts.

Pick the surface that fits the conversation. Short threads and replication notes live on X. Professional and outreach context lives on LinkedIn. Code, preprints, and the full audit trail live on GitHub, arXiv, ResearchGate, and OSF.

Best channel by purpose
  • Research collaboration or coauthorship: email, then GitHub issue or OSF comment on the relevant project.
  • Endorsement, intro, hiring, advisory: LinkedIn connection request with one sentence of context, or email.
  • A specific paper: reply on the X thread for that paper, or arXiv comment via the listed contact. ResearchGate Q&A works for academic readers.
  • A bug, replication question, or code issue: open an issue on the relevant GitHub repo. The Substrate Geometry repo has four issue templates ready.
  • Press, podcast, or interview: email. Mention the angle and outlet in the first message.
  • Just curious: follow on X. Threads cover what is shipping in the constellation week to week.
Before you write

Three pages worth a one-minute skim.

If you are reaching out cold, these are the surfaces that answer most of the first-pass questions about what I do, why, and what is current.
