Method. Copilot figures come from the citationstats endpoint of Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance (Bing's "citations" metric), read for each property and summed; the daily series is the engine's own and sums to the headline. Bing and Google search figures are summed from each engine's daily rows over exactly the same dates. Each other figure is read from the named instrument for the named window. Different units are never added; the one aggregate combines engines over one identical window. Open slots and per-page counts come from the placement catalog, whose per-page window is stated beside them.
Limits. Copilot only: Bing does not report how often ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude name a source. 2 of the 14 properties are not currently named as a source (one since 12 Aug). Google days from 30 Sep to 1 Oct are Search Console preliminary data and can still be revised. Analytics tags undercount readers who block them, which is why both are shown.
